With Coda Spatial, Octave introduces a 3D‑based security and perimeter monitoring solution built on LiDAR technology and AI‑driven analysis. According to the manufacturer, the system provides real‑time detection and tracking of moving objects in sensitive areas.
Coda Spatial generates detailed 3D point clouds by measuring laser signal runtimes. These data sets allow the system to determine an object’s position, size, speed and movement direction. Motion paths can be visualized live, supporting faster situation assessment by security personnel.
A key feature is AI‑based object classification. The proprietary DeepTection neural network analyzes LiDAR point cloud data rather than camera images. As stated by the manufacturer, this enables reliable differentiation between relevant objects such as people and vehicles and non‑threatening factors like vegetation or weather conditions, helping to reduce false alarms.
The solution also supports digital twins. Imported 3D maps and layouts visualize detected objects in real time within a virtual representation of the site. In addition, Coda Spatial can automatically control PTZ cameras, aligning them with detected targets to provide immediate visual verification.
An optional design tool, Coda Designer, allows users to simulate intrusion scenarios in a virtual environment and evaluate sensor and camera placement during the planning phase.
