Portier Global: Access control software Portier Vision 5 (GSA27-55)

With Portier Vision 5, Portier Global is introducing a software solution for the structured management of mechanical locking systems. The goal is to map physical access rights in a transparent, traceable, and audit-proof manner.

While electronic access control systems are regularly reviewed and updated, mechanical keys remain in circulation for long periods in many organizations—often without ongoing monitoring. This creates a growing need for traceability and documentation, particularly in industrial companies, sectors related to critical infrastructure, and public institutions.

Portier Vision 5 addresses this gap by recording locking systems, cylinders, keys, and their copies in a central system. All transactions—from issuance and returns to loss reports—are documented and permanently stored. On this basis, reliable statements about the distribution and use of access media can still be made even years later.

This enables mechanical access to be systematically audited. Those responsible for security, facility management, and auditing are able to verify at any time who has which access rights, on what basis they were granted, and whether they are still necessary.

The solution is designed specifically for environments where mechanical keys continue to play a central role—such as in industrial facilities, critical infrastructure, healthcare, or public institutions. There, it can supplement existing electronic access systems as needed and create an additional layer of governance for physical security.
