ASL-Ademco´s ABAX door handle monitor provides contactless door monitoring by detecting hand movement near the handle before the door is operated. This early warning capability helps identify unauthorised access attempts across various applications.
The device attaches above the door handle without drilling or wiring, enabling installation on wooden, glass or metal doors. ASL Ademco states that the unit can be removed without leaving marks, which supports use in rented properties or temporary setups.
Users can set the alarm duration between 8 seconds and 2 minutes. The integrated ABAX‑2 wireless module links the device to existing systems such as control rooms, mobile devices or external alarm units. Up to 48 monitors can be networked, supporting deployment in larger buildings including offices, warehouses and residential complexes.
The manufacturer highlights a slim housing and a multi‑colour LED that indicates battery status, ensuring straightforward maintenance and discreet integration.
