Bosch makes network video surveillance simple

Photo

Bosch IP 4000 and IP 5000 fixed cameras are specially designed to make installation as easy as possible. You’ll find all the installation essentials, such as mounting adapters and surface mount boxes, are included in the packaging. This makes installation significantly easier and ensures easy cabling.

Easy for the installer

Some cameras, like the FLEXIDOME IP 5000 and DINION IP bullet models, offer Automatic Varifocal (AVF). This saves time and eliminates the need to climb up and down ladders to focus individual cameras as the focus can be adjusted from ground level after installation. It also enables the installer to focus on a specific area in the scene. This is ideal in scenes where the field of view is potentially obstructed by objects in close proximity to the camera. By selecting a specific area, for example an entrance, the camera will apply Automatic Varifocal to this target, disregarding the object in its proximity. Another example of how we’re reducing installation times and making IP video simple is our 3-axis lens. A feature of all our micro dome models, the 3-axis lens is designed for easy guidance to set the field of view precisely when installing the cameras on a wall or ceiling.

Set-up and configuration have never been simpler because all our cameras offer the same graphical user interface; if you know one, you know them all. This reduces the need for training and set-up time substantially. Our cameras also share the same product platform to ensure easy maintenance and backward compatibility over multiple generations. They’re also future proof thanks to the fact that you can upgrade or add new features via firmware updates for feature enhancements. Only one firmware is needed for all products, reducing maintenance costs substantially and enabling easy integration into third party software and recording solutions.

Great for multiple applications

The IP 4000 and IP 5000 fixed camera portfolio is great for everyday surveillance applications such as schools, hospitality venues, retail shops and commercial buildings. The IP 4000 and IP 5000 cameras integrate seamlessly with Bosch software and recording solutions, as well as those from other vendors. Easy third party integration is guaranteed because the cameras conform to ONVIF and the Bosch Integration Partner Program (IPP). The IP 4000 and IP 5000 camera families offer a complete portfolio consisting of dome, panoramic and bullet cameras that are suitable for every facility – indoor or outdoor, day or night, discreet or obtrusive.

Highest image quality at minimum cost

Highly detailed images make it easy to distinguish individuals or minor details, significantly increasing the effectiveness of retrospective analysis. IP 5000 cameras offer resolutions of up to 5 megapixel, and the lower-cost IP 4000 cameras provide great performance at up to 1080p resolution. All cameras are equipped with built-in intelligence that tailors captured images to the content of the scene. Depending on movement and varying light intensity, the camera settings are continuously and dynamically adjusted. This ensures perfect exposure of objects of interest at all times. Built-in Intelligent Dynamic Noise Reduction reduces bitrate by up to 50%, by intelligently distinguishing between noise and relevant information, such as movement. Because noise is reduced at the source during image capture, the lower bitrate doesn’t compromise video quality. Intelligent Dynamic Noise Reduction significantly reduces storage requirements and lessens network strain by only using bandwidth when needed.

Safe data storage and instant real-time video data access

Video data can be safely stored in the cloud, on a network video recorder, or on a built-in SD card. Any of these methods provide an easy back-up solution to safely store relevant video data on all models. When required, it’s easy to access video data and control your cameras using one of the free viewing options, such as the Video Security app for iOS or Android devices or the Video Security Client software. In more mission critical applications, built-in local storage combined with a Video Recording Manager can enhance network performance further by compensating for short network outages, ensuring video data is continuously available.

Easy to use

You can’t be everywhere all the time. That’s why IP 4000 and IP 5000 cameras are fully supported by our Dynamic Transcoding technology. It gives you 24/7 remote access to camera controls, live video streams, recordings and multi-megapixel images. To gain all these benefits, simply expand your IP video surveillance system with a Bosch recording solution like the DIVAR IP series or VIDEOJET XTC XF. The free Video Security app for iOS or Android devices offers instant real-time access to smooth, multi-megapixel video from anywhere, regardless of the bandwidth. No buffering, just instant replay and highly detailed images when you need them, so you won’t miss a thing. To view multiple sites or cameras simultaneously, you can use our free Video Security Client. With intuitive control via touch screen, mouse or keyboard, it is very easy to use. Video Security Client supports desktops, 2-in-1 laptops and mobile devices running Windows 8.

With the Bosch IP 4000 and IP 5000 portfolio you have the reassurance that alarms will be triggered when needed, and video data recorded and safely stored. This means you can always review what has happened, regardless of time and place. The IP 4000 and IP 5000 cameras are a cost-effective, reliable and comprehensive portfolio designed for 24/7 operation, making network video surveillance simple to install and easy to use. HVI Light Plus for Lightning Protection Applications

When installing bare, uninsulated air-termination conductors on the roof, the separation distance to electrical and metal systems installed under the roof surface must be maintained in accordance with the current lightning protection standard DIN EN 62305-3. Cable installations, pipe systems or metal parts are frequently installed under the roofing in direct proximity to the air-termination system / down conductor, thus posing a proximity issue. The solution is isolated air-termination systems with high-voltage-resistant, insulated down conductors.

DEHNventil ACI M: Standard-compliant Surge Protection in Industry

High demands are placed on the availability of switchgear in, for example, industrial plants, data centres, hospitals and large administrative buildings. This makes surge protection essential. At the same time, replacement of the surge protection module should not influence system availability. The new DEHNventil ACI M TNS 264 FM has no backup fuse and is flexible in terms of its application. In the event of a fault, the protection module is safely disconnected and can be quickly removed from the base part from either side or the front. The touch-safe design allows the protection module to be replaced without system downtime. The ACI technology employed also enables connection cross-sections of just 16 mm2. This facilitates installation and saves time.
