Protect: API for control centre monitoring of fog cannon units

Fog security manufacturer Protect has introduced API – Application Programming Interface. Protect’s API functionality offers control centres the ability to integrate fog security installations in their own monitoring software such as third party systems like Milestone, Mastermind, Bold, Interview, ESI and Patriot.

Therefore major control centres can quickly get a detailed status of each individual fog cannon at customer sites and even activate the fog cannon units in an emergency. This means that fog cannon units only need to be physically inspected by technicians when there is a problem – and that the technician knows in advance what equipment to bring and therefore only requires a single visit.

“API comes with sophisticated software which can be configured by the control centre so that the customer is sure that it only contains their own software and integrates with their entire set-up,” explains Poul Dalsgaard, CEO of Protect.
