Raytec recently acquired the assets of Electronic Process Solutions (EPS), a contract electronics manufacturing company based in Blyth, Northumberland.
This strategic move aims to enhance Raytec’s in-house capabilities and support the plans for future growth. By integrating EPS’s expertise in electronics manufacturing into the Raytec production process they expect to gain several key advantages:

•Enhanced Quality: Increased control over production will allow for higher quality standards through collaborative development and knowledge sharing.
•Control Over Key Components: Electronics, and specifically LED light engines, are at the heart of all Raytec illuminators and this gives greater control over the production.
•Faster Time-to-Market: Streamlined processes will enable quicker development and production cycles for both new products and customised solutions.
•Supply Chain Efficiency: Improved coordination and scheduling will lead to reduced lead times and increased operational efficiency.
•Tailored Solutions: The ability to modify and tailor printed circuit boards (PCBs) in-house will enable Raytec to offer more customised solutions to meet specific customer needs.

Raytec has a long-standing relationship with EPS, with the latter having supplied LED light engines for several years. Recognising EPS’s capabilities, service levels, and strong company culture, they believe this acquisition will deliver tangible benefits for Raytec and the customers.

Significantly, alongside EPS, Raytec will continue to work alongside our other long-term contract electronics suppliers to deliver the most optimised solutions for each product and application.

This acquisition also positions Raytec for significant growth in the coming years, enabling the company to meet increasing demand for high-performance lighting solutions with enhanced efficiency, quality, and control.
