Sporty uvex xenova® atc safety shoe range - a new dimension in foot protection
At the A+A 2011 in Düsseldorf, the world’s leading trade fair for personal protective equipment, the uvex safety group presented the new sporty uvex xenova® atc safety footwear range designed for manual work, logistics, aviation and ancillary construction trades. The unique 3D safety comfort cell ensures that the range, which makes up part of the new uvex 3D product system, stands out, providing support and all-round stability for the feet and consequently increasing wearer comfort.

uvex xenova® atc safety shoes conform to the shape of the foot for maximum comfort. Reliable support is guaranteed by the individually adjustable 3D lacing system with quick lock mechanism. Alternatively, those who wish for even more stability can opt for the safe-lock laces that are included with every pair of xenova® atc shoes.

The new generation of xenova® metal-free toe caps offer improved performance. In combination with heel caps and a metal-free, penetration-resistant insole, which conforms to the latest standard specifications, the result is a perfect 3D comfort cell for the feet that guarantees effective and reliable protection.

xenova® atc safety shoes fulfill the high requirements of the uvex climazone climate management. The removable, antistatic uvex 3D comfort insole with additional shock absorption under the heel and the front of the foot and the 3D distance mesh lining, along with breathable, hydrophobic high-tech micro velour uppers guarantee an optimal foot climate. The S3 models, uvex xenova® atc 9502.2 and 9503.2, also use GORE-TEX®. This synthetic upper material is suitable for chromium allergy sufferers.

A three-component sole system comprising a rubber outsole, ultra-light, oil and petrol resistant EVA mid-sole and separate, stabilising joint section form the basis of the xenova® atc safety shoe.

The xenova® atc range is available in the following colour combinations: black/lime, grey/cyan, black/white and grey/black with EN ISO 20345:2007 S2 SRC or S3 WR SRC marking.

HVI Light Plus for Lightning Protection Applications

When installing bare, uninsulated air-termination conductors on the roof, the separation distance to electrical and metal systems installed under the roof surface must be maintained in accordance with the current lightning protection standard DIN EN 62305-3. Cable installations, pipe systems or metal parts are frequently installed under the roofing in direct proximity to the air-termination system / down conductor, thus posing a proximity issue. The solution is isolated air-termination systems with high-voltage-resistant, insulated down conductors.
