From 16th to 18th of June, Bosch Security Systems will showcase its innovations and technologies in the South hall on stand F700 during this year’s IFSEC International in London. Many existing products and some new ones from the company‘s portfolio of video, intrusion, communication and fire solutions will be on display.

Being launched at IFSEC is the range of Flexidome IP panoramic cameras. Providing a complete overview in a single image, the IP 7000 MP indoor camera gives a full 180-degree or 360-degree view of a particular area with 12 megapixel sensor resolution at 30 frames per second. It features a full suite of on-board intelligent video analytics to ensure that operators are alerted when needed. For both indoor and outdoor applications, the company also offers the 5000 MP, a very small 360-degree dome design combining a 5 megapixel sensor at 15 frames per second with a fish-eye lens. Both cameras ensure a complete overview in a single image without blind spots and the easy capture of moving objects, significantly improving the performance of any video surveillance solution. Combined with the company‘s own Video Security Client software, the user can select up to 6 different viewing modes.

Bosch is extending its family of pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras with the launch of the Autodome IP 4000 and IP 5000 models. These motion control cameras help to locate, track and zoom in on details, providing relevant information that enable operators to react instantly and take accurate decisions. They add precise identification of objects of interest over large distances and hands-on control to all kinds of video surveillance solutions. The comprehensive range of cameras also includes high-end models such as the Autodome IP starlight 7000 HD and the IP dynamic 7000 HD, which includes Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA) technology as standard.

Outdoor Cameras
Punishing winds, relentless rain, powerful vibrations and temperatures that drop far below zero – no matter how severe the conditions get, a surveillance operation must go on without interruptions. The MIC IP 7000 HD family has been developed by Bosch for these extreme applications. These PTZ cameras combine high-quality HD image capture with an IP68/NEMA 6P certified housing, meaning they can be used at temperatures from -40 to +60 degrees Celsius and humidity of up to 100 percent. Even in extreme low light conditions (down to 0.01 lux) the MIC IP starlight 7000 HD provides HD images and clear color images where some other cameras would have already switched to monochrome.

Listen Up
Paviro is the first of a new breed of public address and evacuation systems from Bosch. EN54-certified and extremely efficient in power consumption, the system‘s highly flexible system architecture makes it an attractive, complete system solution for small to medium-sized installations such as office buildings, regional airports, hotels, factories, schools and department stores. As a sound reinforcement solution, it provides high audio quality; as an evacuation system, it ensures high reliability; and as a public address system it gives a high level of clarity and intelligibility. The operational costs of the system are extremely low due to the use of high-efficiency class-D amplifiers as well as intelligent power-management hardware and software.

Bosch’s Integration Partner Program is a big success and the list of integration partners is getting longer as the products are suitable for integration with many 3rd party solutions. A number of partners will be present at the company‘s booth to show how their software or storage solutions seamlessly integrate. The manufacturer‘s portfolio is so extensive that not everything can be shown on one IFSEC booth. However, a glimpse will also be given into their intrusion, fire, data storage, cloud-based services and software solutions. Representatives will be on the stand to inform on topics such as 4K resolution, intelligent video analysis, Starlight cameras and intelligent dynamic noise reduction.

Charging and Storing Lithium-Ion Batteries Correctly

Lithium-ion batteries offer many advantages. They are long lasting, have a high energy density and are only slightly self-discharging. The batteries are therefore particularly practical for many devices in the industrial sector as well as in security technology. However, one thing should always be borne in mind: Lithium and many of its compounds are highly flammable and highly reactive. Certified and GS-tested type 90 safety cabinet models enable the highest safety requirements to be met when storing and charging lithium-ion batteries.
