Secsolutionforum 2026 to explore integrated security, resilience and regulatory developments in Italy
Secsolutionforum 2026, the event dedicated to physical and digital security, will take place on 7 and 8 October at BolognaFiere, as part of Urban Tech 2026 – The Urban Technology Show.
Following six online editions, the forum will return as an in-person event with a programme focused on professional training, regulatory updates and industry discussion. Admission is free upon registration. The event will feature more than 100 sessions across nine concurrent conference rooms, over 100 speakers and a 4,000-square-metre exhibition area.
The programme is designed for security managers, CISOs, installers, system integrators, technology vendors, designers, public-sector representatives, law-enforcement professionals and other specialists involved in protecting people, data, buildings and critical infrastructure.
The opening keynote, “Security in an Uncertain World: The Challenge of Change”, will be delivered by Manuel Di Casoli, Global Strategic Advisor and TEDx Speaker. Other contributions will come from representatives of companies, institutions, universities, professional associations and technology organisations.
A central theme of the forum will be the growing interdependence between the physical and digital domains. The opening round table, “Digital Boundaries, Physical Impacts: Integrated Resilience as a Strategic Lever for Businesses, Territories and People in a Complex and Uncertain Environment”, will examine infrastructure security, business continuity, data protection and asset protection. Participants will include Andrea Monteleone, President of ANIE SICUREZZA; Alessandro Manfredini, President of AIPSA – the Italian Association of Corporate Security Professionals; and Andrea Venanzoni, Vice-President of Assocyber. The discussion will be moderated by journalist Ilaria Garaffoni.
Other sessions will focus on integrated security in smart cities and territories, including the relationship between smart buildings, urban infrastructure, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, privacy and data governance. The programme will also address transport security, the protection of healthcare facilities, the continuity of essential services, cybersecurity, physical security and public-private cooperation.
Regulatory and technical developments will have a significant role throughout the event. Topics will include the NIS2 Directive and its impact on businesses and supply chains, video surveillance in relation to the GDPR and the EU Artificial Intelligence Act, the revision of the CEI 79-3 standard, fire detection system design under UNI 9795:2021, and the integration of fire detection and evacuation voice alarm systems.
Although the programme is based on the Italian regulatory and technical context, many of the subjects addressed have wider relevance for international companies. Multinational companies operating in Italy or managing cross-border supply chains may benefit from discussions on cyber resilience, critical infrastructure, data protection, artificial intelligence, physical security, business continuity and regulatory compliance. The event therefore provides an opportunity to understand how European and international security challenges are being interpreted and implemented in the Italian market.
Additional sessions will examine the operational use of drones, the development of AI-based video analytics, cloud technologies, access control and perimeter protection. Speakers include representatives from the Emilia-Romagna Regional Government, the Municipality of Bologna, TEHA Group, Labs Laboratori Marconi, AIIC, CSA Società Benefit, the SAIHub Foundation, AIPSA and the University of Milan.
