HID Global: enhanced security reader

HID Global: enhanced security reader. HID Global has demonstrated two of its latest iClass products at the Intersec Middle East 2007 tradeshow.

The event also marks the Middle East introduction of the company’s VertX CS product. As part of the iClass family, the R90 reader combines a longer read range with enhanced security through encryption and mutual authentication standard with 13.56 MHz contactless smart card products of the company.

The RP40 was also introduced as a card reader solution for customers upgrading their current card system from HID 125 KHz Proximity to 13.56 MHz HID iClass credentials.

The single reader simultaneously supports the producers Prox, iClass, Mifare, Desfire and HID multitechnology cards.
