Vicon complements its Roughneck network fixed dome series with 3 MP model

Photo

With 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution the dome offers high-definition surveillance and superb video quality. Roughneck domes with their vandal-resistant, compact casing (IP66, IK10) are specifically designed for indoor or outdoor applications in hardest environments where discreet and compact solutions are required.
Typical for the Roughneck dome series, also the 3 MP model supports day/night functionality for clear video even under low light conditions and wide dynamic range for a better visibility of objects in dark and light areas of a scene. This 3 MP dome camera is available in two versions with and without IR LEDs.

The integrated 3-9 mm P-Iris varifocal lens provides optimal image quality in all lighting conditions. Video images have more contrast and clarity and a better depth of field. This enables that objects at different distances from the camera are in focus simultaneously which is, for example, important for video monitoring of long corridors. The network dome offers triple streaming and supports H.264 compression for an efficient storage and bandwidth management. It can be powered via Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) which simplifies the installation because it requires only one cable for power and video.
