Touchless Biometric Access for Data Centers: How LightEdge Sets a New Security Standard with Invixium IXM Titan
Data centers protect the digital backbone of modern business. For LightEdge, a leading cloud and colocation provider trusted by many Fortune 500 companies across the Midwest USA, security must be uncompromising. As their legacy system no longer met that standard, LightEdge sought a modern biometric solution that could strengthen security, improve the user experience, and integrate with their existing systems without disruption.

LightEdge wanted to standardize on biometrics to support a complex security environment serving both employees and visitors. Before modernizing, the company relied on a hand geometry system to activate visitor cards during check-in and to secure sensitive areas such as mantraps. The solution needed to reliably manage access for hundreds of users – including employees, tenants, and visitors – at seven data center locations across Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, Texas, Minnesota, and Arizona while maintaining a consistent and secure experience at every site.
