Security management, building security & perimeter protection: the winners of category E at the GIT SECURITY AWARD 2026
The security industry remains on the move - and will continue to demonstrate its innovative strength in 2026. Experts, users and industry insiders have voted: The winners of the Security Management, Building Security & Perimeter Protection category have been determined and deserve full attention. Discover here which solutions were particularly impressive this year and why they won the GIT SECURITY AWARD 2026.
GIT SECURITY International has been honoring pioneering products, systems and services every year since 2005 - now for the 21st time. The award recognizes innovation, cost-effectiveness and practical relevance. The finalists were nominated by an independent jury and the winners were chosen by public voting. Further information on the GIT SECURITY AWARD and all other award winners can be found here.
1st winner of category E: Dallmeier with the Panomera S4 Perimeter camera

With the Panomera S4 Perimeter, Dallmeier has developed a new type of camera solution for perimeter protection. The "Perimeter Panomera" combines four sensors in one optical unit. This provides a resolution of 200 "effective megapixels" - MPe - per camera. Together with an AI object classification system specially trained for perimeter requirements and "AI Tamper Detection", which has also been optimized for this purpose, this results in an extremely powerful solution with comparatively low infrastructure, system and personnel costs.
Monitoring narrow strips along perimeters such as fences, buildings or roads, often referred to as "sterile zones", is one of the most demanding physical security requirements. Until now, video systems have often failed to meet user expectations as the "leading" system, particularly in environments with high security requirements: unsatisfactory detection performance, many false alarms and, above all, easy manipulation of the analytics are frequently cited disadvantages.
Equipped with a neural network specially trained for perimeter protection, the Panomera S4 Perimeter reliably detects people with unusual body postures such as bent over, crouching or lying down and movement patterns such as very slow, very fast or crawling. People in camouflage suits such as Camouflage Central Europe, British Smock or Ghillie are also reliably detected.
The extended AI Tamper Detection application supports the detection of tampering attempts that are typically expected at a perimeter. In addition to the classic approaches such as twisting, defocusing, spraying and covering the camera or IR illumination, blinding the camera using a laser pointer, flashlight or strobe light is also reliably detected. In addition, indirect tampering by deliberately fogging the detection area with pyrotechnics such as smoke grenades or smoke pots is detected and an alarm raised. The combination of both evaluation techniques offers optimum detection of intrusion attempts with a very low error and false alarm rate.

2nd winner of category E: Security Robotics with AMSR

AMSR (Autonomous Mobile Security Robots) provide AI-supported, autonomous property surveillance using video, sound and anomaly detection in conjunction with networked security systems.
With AMSR, buildings and facilities can be inspected efficiently and security staff can be supported in repetitive and dangerous tasks, while networked, emission-free solutions help to reduce the carbon footprint while increasing service quality and reducing costs.
AMSR stands for a whole range of mobile safety robots. Find out more here.
Security Robotics is a software specialist for artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics. As a pioneer in the market, Security Robotics has developed a major technological advantage. Using its autonomous and intelligent security platform, Security Robotics controls and networks any number of actors (e.g. cameras, sensors, robots) and implements them in the existing infrastructure.

3rd winner of category E: Rohde & Schwarz with the QPS Walk2000 360° walk-through security scanner

Airports, power stations, banks or events: The QPS Walk2000 is a 360° walk-through security scanner for fast and contactless people screening and is used wherever a high level of security combined with maximum convenience and throughput is required.
Thanks to its technical properties, it can easily penetrate several layers of clothing without having to be removed. Screened persons walk through the system at a natural pace and with normal posture, and its efficient scanning technology maximizes detection rates while minimizing false alarms. The security scanner uses state-of-the-art millimeter wave technology to quickly and accurately detect prohibited items on passengers and highlights the locations on an anonymous avatar.
The automatic detection function is based on AI-based algorithms that aim to detect a wide range of object classes of all materials, such as metals, liquids, ceramics, plastics, granulates, powders, organic substances and much more. This minimizes manual re-checks and contributes significantly to an efficient, respectful and pleasant security screening process.
The QPS Walk2000 is the only walk-through security scanner to achieve a certified security level in accordance with the ECAC 2.1 standard of the European Civil Aviation Conference. For the first time in the world, a "walk-through" passenger security checkpoint is in use at Frankfurt Airport - a vision is becoming a reality that will make security checks at airports even more efficient and convenient in the future. The QPS Walk2000 is also used in critical infrastructures such as parliaments, nuclear power plants, banks or military facilities, at border and customs clearances, at VIP events such as the Munich Security Conference, at concerts and sporting events as well as in production facilities and distribution logistics. There they protect against the loss of intellectual property or valuable goods.
