2nd winner of category C: Axis with the Q1728 Block Camera

Axis Communications has introduced the Axis Q1728 Block Camera in 2025 - the first network camera with the Artpec-9 System-on-Chip from Axis. Developed specifically for the security industry, this industry-first chip supports the open-source AV1 video codec and improves AI-powered video analytics. Thanks to the Deep Learning Processing Unit (DLPU) and Axis Object Analytics, the camera can recognize and classify people, vehicles and vehicle types more precisely.
The camera uses Axis Zipstream with AV1 and H.264/H.265 support for low bandwidth and storage requirements, both on-premise and in the cloud. Axis Image Health Analytics ensures image quality, while AXIS Live Privacy Shield ensures data privacy through AI-based masking. The hardware-based cybersecurity platform Axis Edge Vault protects the device and is FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certified.
With 8 megapixels, the camera delivers 4K resolution at 60 fps. The large 1/1.2" sensor and the proven Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR technology ensure excellent image quality even in poor lighting conditions.
The camera is available with both a wide-angle lens (6 to 13 mm with a horizontal field of view of 108° to 49°) for application scenarios in wide, open areas and a telephoto lens (15 to 48 mm with a horizontal field of view of 42° to 13°) for applications where high detail is required at long distances. Both lenses have remote zoom and focus functions. Both lenses have remote zoom and focus functions.
3rd winner of category C: Mobotix with M One

The Mobotix M One camera combines modern image processing with artificial intelligence in a robust design. Developed and manufactured in Germany, it meets the high requirements of critical infrastructures, industrial applications and sensitive areas such as healthcare or traffic.
Launched in 2024, the Mobotix M One camera combines modern image processing with artificial intelligence in a robust design. Developed and manufactured in Germany, it meets the high requirements of critical infrastructures, industrial applications and sensitive areas such as healthcare or traffic. With a 4K UHD resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels at up to 30 frames per second, the camera delivers razor-sharp images. Thanks to Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) up to 120 dB and optimized low-light performance, the image quality remains very good even in difficult lighting conditions. The fiberglass-reinforced, salt water-resistant housing ensures durability - even in extreme environments.
A key advantage of the M ONE is its powerful artificial intelligence. The Mobotix ActivitySensor One uses deep learning to precisely detect and track people, vehicles and stationary objects. This reduces false alarms and enables efficient automation processes in various application areas. The camera supports common video compression standards such as H.264, H.265, MxPEG+ and M-JPEG and is ONVIF-compliant. It can be easily integrated into the MxManagementCenter, the Mobotix Live App, Mobotix Hub and the Mobotix Cloud. An internal DVR up to 1TB enables recording without additional software or NVR.
For a comprehensive surveillance solution, the M One offers HD audio with integrated microphone and speaker for two-way communication. The various connections, including RJ45, I/O, audio output, 12/24VDC input and USB-C, allow flexible integration into existing systems. With an average energy consumption of just 12.95 W, the M One is particularly efficient and can be operated via PoE class 3 (IEEE 802.3af) or an external 12/24VDC source. The camera comes with a five-year warranty, which can be optionally extended to eight years.
